I have been working out with Khalid Kohgadai twice a week for the past four months and it’s been fabulous.  Disclaimer here: I am not an exerciser.   I hate it and always have.  I have to pay someone to ensure that I actually go to the gym.  But, for a trainer to make me WANT to work out, that is saying a lot.  The workouts were tough, but not so tough that I couldn’t do it.  I always looked forward to our sessions and afterward I felt fantastic.  Khalid is great about building up your strength gradually.  I was as out of shape as they get when we started our sessions together and I have come so far in the past few months – I now have shapely thighs!  Who would have ever thought?!  Khalid has a positive attitude and really projects that into the sessions.  They are always upbeat, even if the workouts themselves pack a wallop.  You will not be disappointed!

Khalid and the Body Mechanix facilities is a great model for people interested in some personal fitness training.  I’ve taken Khalid’s 1 hour Kettlebell program and I was sore (a good sore, mind you) for a couple days after (that’s how you know it worked).  Being someone that has kept up physical fitness for years, I know what good training is vs. bad training.; Khalid is definitely great training.

If you’re looking for a great personal trainer, reach out to Khalid because he’s definitely one of those trainers that can get you to wherever your fitness goals are!

I worked with Khalid for nearly a year. He kept me on my toes and varied the workout so I didn’t have time to get bored. He pushed me onward and also respected an unrelated injury that I have. I am going to miss the variety and intensity of Khalid’s workouts now that he has struck out on his own and left my local gym. I’ve never felt that inspired by a trainer before. Khalid certainly knows how to get results. I recommend that you give him a try. He’s a nice guy, too!

I highly recommend Khalid as a trainer/coach!  Khalid helped me overcome some serious health challenges.  I’m older and my goal was to improve my  health, flexibility, strength, balance and stamina.  He listened to me and assessed what my body could do. He customized an exercise/modified cross-fit program just for me.  In 10 weeks, my heart health improved and I was able to get off several medications. I could get up and down without the ususal aches and pains and my attitude changed from negative to positive.

I’ve been training with Khalid for 6 months now, and plan to continue as long as my bank account will let me.

Like most of us, I made a new years resolution to get fit. Step 1 is typically joining a gym. Well I’ve done that before, watched the $100+  a month leave my checking account, and hardly moved from the couch. It takes motivation. And as a business owner and father-to-be, my motivations are elsewhere. I knew it would take a trainer and regular appointments to make a difference.

I found Body Mechanix (a trainer’s cooperative) on Yelp and, after discussing my needs, they referred me to Khalid. We train twice a week and I’m getting results that I would never have been able to achieve solo. Khalid pushes me well beyond what I would normally do. And he’s friendly, personable, and assertive without being pushy.

If you want results, and you don’t think you can do it alone, I highly recommend Khalid.

I have been working out with Khalid Kohgadai for almost a year now and I am amazed at the results I’ve achieved.  I have made major improvements in my strength and stamina and have lost over 15 pounds in the process.  Khalid is very good and determining your limits and then pushing you just a little beyond them.  I would have never have thought that I would be able to do pull ups again!  He has made this 50+ year old guy feel like he is in his 30′s

Khalid Kohgadai was my fitness trainer a year ago.  He is vrey good at assessing one’s abilities and building on them.   I need someone who inspires me to try new things.  I have always appreciated trainers who can think of things to do that are different and build strength.  I had a serious illness while working with him so did not benefit as much as I would like to have — but he certainly helped me get back in there and regain my strength.    I would be happy to have him back at our gym.

Khalid is a great trainer. Our workouts were definitely harder than what I would have done on my own. He pushed me to my limits and I got great results. I miss training with him (I’m lazy without his motivation!). I would definitely recommend him.

Been  working out with Khalid for almost a year.  Came to him to investigate this “cross fit” thing you see everywhere and he hooked me in the first session.  All I knew of was the standard weight routines you see at every gym followed by a cardio routine of some kind.  Booooooring, and time consuming.  The same thing always happened to me- my body got used to the routine, I felt like I wasn’t gaining anything, and I stopped doing it.

Khalid’s gig broke the monotany (obviously I am not an english teacher) of my usual workout experience, challenged me in ways no other workout has, and got it all done in 30 minutes or less (you can go longer but I have a business and kids so time is of the essence for me).  Having been practicing these types of workouts for awhile now, I feel healthier and more balanced.  Strength, conditioning, and cardio are all wrapped up into a single workout that can be pretty intense.
The best thing about Khalid’s system is it’s simplicity.  We don’t need fancy machines, tons of weights, or any specialized gear.  Khalid has shown me how to put together routines that can be done anywhere.  And with every session I learn new techniques.  My muscles and cardiovascular system are always “shocked”.  No one routine is ever like the next.  If you quit or stop, it’s definately not going to be because you’re bored.
